November News from the Field

Friends,

We have so much to be thankful for, and I am grateful for each of you. Although I’m a few days late, Happy Thanksgiving! I hope that at this time of year you are well and enjoying time with loved ones wherever you are in the world. In Guatemala, there are many preparations and activities still to be done before Christmas and the end of 2011, but it is a joyful time as well. We are preparing for our annual Christmas gatherings with each of the microfinance groups to give thanks for a wonderful year of God’s provision and guidance and to dream and plan for 2012. Personally, there are some exciting changes for my work and ministry in Central America, but you’ll have to open my attached newsletter (click the link below) to find out more! Thank you as always for your partnership with God, me and Students International. I feel so loved and supported, and I look forward to the next opportunity when we can spend time together, whether in the United States or in Central America.

Blessings and peace,

Nick

Hi, Nick. I thought of you this morning while doing my reading. I use the rainbow colored wrist tie that you gave me to mark my place in Proverbs- my reading plan goes there once a month or so. When I came to the blog site to leave a message I saw your Nov newsletter. Lots of changes coming for you. One thing is clear, God is making a way!

Not sure how it might fit into you spring travel plans, but wanted to give you the dates for the spring Emmaus Walks: Men March 8-11 (Ken Musick from St A is Lay Director) and March 22-25 for Women. You know where our Friday group will be those weeks.

God Bless you! I hope you get some time with your Mom over Christmas.

Keitt, Thanks for your message. I think of you guys often, and I hope that I can join y’all one Friday while I’m in the US. I’m glad that you’re using the tie for a bookmark, great idea. Right now, it looks like both of the walks will happen too soon for me to stop by, but nothing is definite yet. Either way, I’m planning to see everyone at St. Andrews while in BR.

Are your boys home yet from their first semesters/quarters? I know y’all are going to have a great Christmas together. I’ll still be in Guatemala for Christmas this year, but I’m already looking forward to spending Easter with my family.

      God bless!
